Today I thought I'd tell you a little about my family.
AC went to the Dr. she our nonathletic child has buritis , inflammation around the hip bone. This was caused by her starting to jog. She went jogging once. I jog 3 times a week, swim 2 times, and walk daily and have sustained no injuries.
BD has asked a girl to homecoming for the first time. He has it all planned out quiet fun they are "just" friends.
BP will soon be home schooled a new adventure for us. School has just gotten to be too much.
HSSH is down to one job Yeah.
BD is our strong fighter, born early, reactions to many things, and a sever head injury he just keeps bouncing back and taking everything in stride. He runs, wrestels, and keeps his grades above average. He has over come many genetic learning disabilities. Just a great kid.
BP has also had to over come several disabilities to get through school this far. His eyes are not so great, dyslexia, and a head injury also. He is our inventor he has got some fantastic ideas if only he could put them on paper. Welding is his chosen hobby so I'm not quiet sure how I will keep up on this class.
AC is our dreamer she is smart and witty, diffidently keeps HSSH on his toes. She is our actor and artist, plays piano, draws, and is in a puppet club. She is also our social butterfly I am kept running for her social activities.
AB our energetic pup just keeps running, she has worn a path around our friends chicken coop . Gotta keep those crazy birds were they belong.
Well I just lost my energy time for bed. Sweet Dreams All

My Day
Today was a productive day.
I got my hair cut, gave a blind horse meds twice, walked him, set the toaster oven on fire, made 24 dozen cookies (with help from a 4 yr old), babied 1 sick teen, helped 1 teen finish up his cleaning job, packed for long weekend (we have a wedding to go to), including doing all the laundry, 3 meals made each for 1 person no one else wanted what I had made ( they are then on their own), packed lunch for HSSH, cracked my favorite metal bowl, taught 7 1st and 2nd graders tumbling, blogged and still sat a visited with a good friend. Life is full.

Childhood memories
The other day I was telling HSSH about some childhood memories I had. As I kid I have a vivid memory of all my siblings along with 4 or 5 maybe 8 neighbors would head off on the 5 mile trip to town. Some on bikes, some on motor bikes, horses, a wagon behind a bike, some just walking (really fast), there was even a goat. The goat only went once I don't think the goat made it to town we tied it up by some blackberries and picked it up on the way home.
As I remember my childhood I keep thinking Man did I live. Cray fishing in a creek. swimming in a river, or cow pond. Playing baseball in the pasture using cow patties for bases, Never slide into a wet cow pie base, unless you are close to the creek. the only thing we worried about was the black bear in the pasture.
My youngest sister is 6 years younger then me, I would stay with a neighbor and catch the bus with her to school. The day Mom and sister came home I was picked up by my parents and I didn't have to go to school. Sister had on a pretty pink dress. I was the first of the siblings to see her.
We would "live off the land" my grand parents would raise cows for beef they had acres of corn and a very big garden that every one would work in. We raised chickens for meat and eggs, goats for milk traded goats milk for cows milk, in the fall we harvested gardens, froze and canned the vegetables, butchered the chickens. Then it was hunting season when you hit 12 you got your hunting permit whether you shot a deer or not so we could have enough meat to feed all the relatives. In the summer there were wild strawberries and huckleberries, raspberries, blackberries, and tons of fruit.
Wow what a fun childhood I had.

Rough day
You know that it is a rough day when you receive 4 phone calls from school concerning 2 of your children. Apparently I am not so great at choosing shorts length AC asked me if the shorts she wanted to wear were long enough. I said yes her finger tips went past the hem of her shorts but her finger tips hit about 2 inches above her knees ( yes she has really long arms) so I thought they were fine. A teacher called her shorty shorts. They could not reach me so she had to spend the day in ISS.
I then received a call concerning BP he threw a pencil into the garbage can only a few things in the way " There were only 2 kids, but they moved."
All three teens have been grumpy and HSSH is working double shifts so he's grumpy also.New song Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy I sang that to cheer up BP and AC they just glared at me, maybe tomorrow!

Hard parenting
Why is it that teenagers work so hard to ground/get themselves in trouble? I have not though of my self as a super hard parent, HSSH "lays down the law" usually I can reason with him and lessen the discipline. But the older the 3 teens get the more they tie my hands. HSSH goes off to work and I am left with the angry teen they growl at me then I am left with no choice but to follow through with his discipline. When HSSH gets home the kids have forgotten he was the one to start the discipline and I am still the bad parent . The other thing I run into is that they call while I am gone and leave a message I am at so and so's house pick me up at___. The house rule is I have to know your plans before you leave for school. What do they expect a party?

Cats
Yesterday I was headed to town.when AC, her friend, and I got into the car 2 cats were sleeping on top of the 76. They dwell on cars so that AB can't tease them. So we get into the car and start it most cats would jump off at this point. They did not I backed the car up stopped put it into drive the cats stayed i drove half way down our driveway stopped one cat jumped off AC got out of the car to see if the other one had jumped off. He hadn't she videoed while I drove him around our circle drive he stayed on until AC shooed him off after the loop. My dwelling cats.
BD also had his first driving lesson he drove down the driveway and backed back up then he was done.
